The Cherry bomb (or Cherry boom) peppers have small, cherry-like, uniform pods, averaging 2 to 7 cm in both diameter and length, and are round to slightly oval in shape. The skin is shiny, smooth and taut and ripens quickly from green to dark red.

Below the surface, the flesh is thick, crunchy and watery, enclosing a central cavity filled with many round and flat, cream-colored seeds. The Cherry bomb peppers are crunchy and juicy with a clear, sweet and sour and mild taste.
